Student reflection:
I would paint it on the portland police department as a protest for justice in the name of all the black men and women who lost their lives due to police brutality, to those that said I can’t breath, don’t shoot etc
I would paint this picture because it symbolizes a black man with a gas mask because he can’t breathe with his hands up asking the police officer not to shoot.
Student Reflection:
I would put this image at the entrance to my house, because one of the things that represents me is the music-everything that is music to me is special.
Student Reflection:
I would put it at fort sumner park because more people are there and they can look at it. I think that my drawing is kinda graffiti because it is as advanced as other graffiti art I've seen. The colors and the word are graffiti and so is one of my circles that has drips falling down with the pattern and lines and the roses. I choose to draw that person as “me” because it is how i've been feeling with the emotion that you see on the face.Ugh why face. I chose the colors because they are my favorite colors: green, blue, red, yellow and I just mixed other colors to get a color that I didn't have. I also wanted to do something new cause i hate any kind of painting so i kinda got out of my comfort zone and tried something that i hate to do.
Student reflection:
My image would be near city hall or a public space like near the library in downtown so that it is viewed.

Student Reflection
I would put this graffiti at mosque or at church because those places teach how important love is and what love can do, is all about loving god and loving each other.
Student Reflection:
I would put this graffiti because it shows how people of minority groups are treated in this country. In particular since pride month is June this is supposed to show how the LGBTQ community is silenced and made to feel invalid. Leaders of this country and the media make LGBTQ youth feel like they can’t express who they are and that how they are feeling is wrong. The mask is tied into our current situation with COVID and how this pandemic is silencing the queer community further. Pride parades across the world have been canceled for safety, but other laws still discriminate against queer people. I would put this graffiti on the front of city hall. This would not go over well, but it is important that it is displayed in a place that everyone can see it.

Student reflection:
I would put this graffiti on a building that was a bright and solid color so that the piece would stand out and catch people’s attention when they are passing by. I chose this image because the word spreads a message and is important. The details in the individual letters help to support this message and are also providing the piece with color and different aspects of art.
Student Reflection:
I would place my image on the side of this building because there is a lot of open space, and this coffee shop is usually very open to creative voices and expression, so they might agree to it in real life.
Student Reflection:
I would put this image somewhere noticeable enough to be seen by many people, but secret enough to not get caught. This image is a activism themed piece which currently represents three things. The fist is more black live matter. The rainbow colors are for LGBTQ+ rights. The colors in the letters all have associations with empowering and comforting words related to this current pandemic.
